INFO
In this project I participated on the original concept design, construction and the design of Kolo's textile interiors.
The installation examined visitors’ interactions within its ‘inner’ and ‘outer’ worlds. The outer surface invited the audience to touch and feel Kolo, which then responded with subtle sounds and haptic vibrations based on the nature and intensity of participant interaction. Once immersed in Kolo’s inner world, participants experienced subtly dynamic and calming darkness that contrasts sharply with the otherwise busy festival environment. The twilit shapes, movements and sounds inside the Kolo distantly interpreted the interactions that other visitors made with Kolo outside.
